FDR vs DPS Comparison Engine
Compare two different saving patterns fairly. Rates are editable because bank offers change.

FDR assumes monthly compounding. DPS assumes each monthly installment compounds for its remaining months. This is an estimate; bank product rules may differ.
Current Bangladesh rate context
Bank Asia's official deposit-rate page is effective 4 August 2026. BRAC Bank's published Bangladesh-Bank-derived May 2026 six-month-highest-FDR table shows examples including Bank Asia 9.25%, BRAC Bank 9.00%, EBL 8.88%, MTB 9.00% and City Bank 8.74%. These are reference points, not a promise that every deposit amount or tenure receives that rate.
How to choose
FDR: useful when you already have a lump sum. DPS: useful when you are building savings from monthly income. Compare liquidity, premature encashment, missed-installment rules and tax—not only maturity value.
